1. Please Go Watch THIS Google video too and send link to your friends...

If we can move Unseen Al Gore Campaign Video to the Top 100 on Google, then 10,000's of people will see it. It is by someone who worked on the movie "On Being John Malkovich." This movie is the *real* Gore -- if it had shown prior to 2000 then there would've been enough Dem voters around the nation to overcome the GOP's ability to steal votes (as it existed in 2000). The Dem strategists/handlers did not want it shown - it wasn't the 'right image' -- another GREAT reason to fire all the asshole strategists/handlers.

:bounce:

Also come hang out in the Al Gore '08 Group Forum.

The more the merrier!

On edit: This reply originally pointed out that this thread is a dupe. Really - Who Cares? GO GORE!

4. As far as I am concerned we can have 60 threads on the video...
The link on this thread works: Video: President Al Gore on SNL -- and it already has 13 votes...

15. It made me sad
"For all sad words of tongue and pen, The saddest are these, 'It might have been'." John Greenleaf Whittier.

I've been thinking a lot lately about the fact that the money spent on the Iraq war could have been spent on national health care, or any number of other things.

It didn't have to be this way.

21. WOW!! Even doing comedy Al Gore is 1000000 x's more Presidential then Bush
could ever be. :patriot:

As much as I liked and respected him before... my respect and admiration for him has quintupled over these past 6 years. Although I feel we need to concentrate on THIS coming election... I must admit I'd love to see him run. As much as I really like many of the other potential candidates ... I can't think of anyone I'd rather see take his (rightful) place as President.

Anyway... this clip was WELL worth the s-l-o-w (21.6k) download on our dial-up... :kick: and R'd! B-)

25. We're on dial up (21.6k). What I do is turn the sound down & wait...
(while surfing a bit) for it to fully play (it's actually downloading into your temp cache I think). After it's done then turn the sound back up, click "play again" and it should, hopefully, play straight through for you... at least the OP's link did for me (not all do unfortunately).

Hope it works for you as well... it's well worth it and didn't take as long as many I've sludged through (that weren't). :)

http://www.crooksandliars.com/2006/05/14.html#a8280

Good evening, my fellow Americans. In 2000 when you overwhelmingly made the decision to elect me as your 43rd president, I knew the road ahead would be difficult. We have accomplished so much yet challenges lie ahead.

In the last 6 years we have been able to stop global warming. No one could have predicted the negative results of this. Glaciers that once were melting are now on the attack. As you know, these renegade glaciers have already captured parts of upper Michigan and northern Maine, but I assure you: we will not let the glaciers win.

Right now, in the 2nd week of May 2006, we are facing perhaps the worst gas crisis in history. We have way too much gasoline. Gas is down to $0.19 a gallon and the oil companies are hurting. I know that I am partly to blame by insisting that cars run on trash.

I am therefore proposing a federal bailout to our oil companies because- hey if it were the other way around, you know the oil companies would help us...

(snip - much more, all of it terrific)

I was not expecting it, I missed the first few seconds but it was tragically hilarious and therapeutic, made my Saturday Night. Now we just have to make it happen, I always wanted to go to Six Flags over Tehran.

Double kick and recommended!

31. SNL really owed Gore
Their skit on Gore-as-president during the 2000 race made Al out to be a dull boring wonk who used the term lock box practically as a mantra. I think they did him a huge disservice.

32. Obviously, Al Gore must've forgiven SNL, since he hosted the show on
12/14/02. And appeared in almost every sketch — Al Franken wrote his material for it, BTW.
