When are the heavyweight Dems going to call this man out? (NSA crap)
Edited on Thu May-11-06 12:08 PM by Lastlaughin08
I am so pissed I could explode. When will the top guns in the Democratic Party call a press conference on the steps of Capitol building to publicly call this out-of-control administration to account for the inappropriate, illegal, and immoral snooping and spying on American citizens. This is the last straw. These no-good bastards in the WH have made a mockery of our system of government. This asswipe from Dogpatch, Texas starts a war and now he thinks he can do anything damn thing he pleases.

Even the dumbest RW kool-aid drinker should be infuriated by this outrageous policy.

I am so fucking mad I could eat nails.

1. Al Gore Did

At Constitution Hall.

If you looked hard as hell you could probably find a recording of the speech, maybe on C-Span.

Nobody paid attention.

4. Fewer words, short sound bytes will make it into the vernacular AND onto
the radio, online and onscreen easier than wonderful speeches will.

12. If the MSM does not report it,
vernacular is irrelevant, kind of like the tree falling in the forest. It does not take a genius to understand Al Gore's speech or where he is coming from, it just takes a real live free press with at least an ounce of integrity and a respect for the Constitution and the people.

5. They're scared. Election coming.

An explosion in a city, and the Repubs blame it on Dems - "With phone surveillance this could have been prevented...blah blah blah" "Dems soft on terror"

They can come out a little angry, but they can't be too involved in making it stop. They are afraind it will backfire with an October surprise.

7. If my memory serves me....
Didn't this nsa data mining of phone and email start in 1999? Trying to recall, it seems like it was called Carnivore.

Perhaps some of you have a better recall of this.

8. Oh. Clinton's fault
Golly, I should've known that alreday.

I don't recall reading anything about the NSA spying on 200,000,000 Americans with no warrant and no reason.

Carnivore's a freaking sniffer, no more, no less. It was the sort of thing that was taken to one CO at a time. If it hasn't become abundantly clear to you by now, this is very, very different.

13. What exactly is the difference
between Carnivore and what ever it is called now? Carnivore was the initial operation and I am sure due to technology it has been refined. I really have no problem with it then or what it is now.

I think you are mistaken about it being taken to one CO at a time. It was set up with the intent to do exactly what it is doing now.
