WH Blasts New York Times, CBS News

The White House press operation sent out two "SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT" e-mails this afternoon.

One takes CBS News to task for a report on Medicare Part D the WH labels as "misleading."

The other says the New York Times editorial board "continues to Ignore America's Economic Progress."

9. Either way...America is not buying the lies anymore...
And the media looks more foolish every time they bend to Bush's will and back up his bullshit and then the truth comes out and they can't hide it anymore. The internet is taking a toll on the liars!

12. This is one great "Top Down Economy" if America's Economic Progress
Edited on Wed May-10-06 04:05 PM by ShockediSay
is measured by those at the Top looking Down at the rest of us.

But if you're looking Up at the elite Top, it sucks.

Consider the increasing number of those pushed below the poverty line, the increased number of homeless whom this unchecked unbalanced administration ignores, and the number of unemployed who don't count - - those that have given up looking for work or those seriously underemployed.

3. And it's just coincidence that this comes the day after the CBS/NYT poll..
... has Bush at 31%. :sarcasm:

So they've taken to retaliating against the polls, and by extension, the American people.

Yeah, that's gonna work.

13. CBS & NYT needs to grow some Colbert Balls and call the WH on its Prop.
Edited on Wed May-10-06 04:22 PM by bushmeat
Bush's obvious propaganda machine that is highly organized and used the principals of Goebbles "Big Lie". They pick their talking points and give them to the Republicans who simultaneously hit all the media and recite the talking points verbatim. Then the networks and cable news channels rerun the "talking points" clips over and over and over until the population is programmed just as badly as the WWII Germans were.

This is the only thing that will save their asses because the WH will not stop its attacks on anybody who will not play their role in this insidious propaganda program.

This needs to be intensively investigated.

As far as I know the only people who have even covered this is the Daily Show.
