Myths and Truths John Stossel Style

so I was just looking over The New York Times and the back page of The Arts Section is a full page ad for John Stossels latest book.
"Myths and Lies And Down Right Stupidity."

and on one column of the ad there are truths (according to Stossel) On The Other Column there are Myths (again According to Stossel.)

The Myths
Women earn less for the same work.
Food irrdaiation is deadly
we're drowning in garbage
Republicans shrink government (he is right here)
Outsourcing is bad for America
Selling body parts is immoral and should be outlawed
Global warming is a disaster waiting to happen.

The Truths
DDT saves lives
price gouging saves lives
The high price of perscription drugs is good for us
The road rage epidemic is media hype
Americans have more free time then ever
Pesticide residue in food is harmless

ABC and their affiliates should have their licenses yanked for continuing to put known liars like this man on the air.

7. Well, He does an admirable job...

of identifying issues/topics... but he's evidently rather confused about which are true.

He often seems to focus on one tiny truth-like exception while ignoring thousands of times more relevant/important real truths that belie his point. That would seem to be an example of what I would call Selective Vision; it is a primary mechanism for self-delusion, avoiding reality and simply missing the point--a major pastime of Republicans/Conservatives and other similarly delusional thinkers.
