Can we have a DU Celebration when Bush falls below 30%?
Bush's popularity rating is at 31% on USAtoday:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-05-08-bush-approval_x.htm

How much longer before he's in the high twenties? In preparation for that moment, maybe we can come up with some DU graphics for the DU thread that will surely pop up in celebration?

12. Limbo? You mean the Pilodinal Cyst?
I know, I know. Just kidding. But Limbo's listeners will keep Bush at 30. Hell, he could eat a baby (not just the placenta) on live TV and he wouldn't drop below 30. That's the bottom. He won't go below it. The Bushbots are insane or unbelievably rich with no conscience.

like when we all had Valentine Hearts to give each other

(or near-beer for the alcoholicly challenged or averse)

3. If that happens after, say a recess appointment of Hayden to CIA
(no confirmation needed then, no questions under oath) we had better be digging shelters rather than partying. The free fall in the polls isn't getting rid of the problem

Only thing that will save America now is good DEM candidates with such big margins there will be no credible way for elections to be stolen. WE NEED TO TAKE THE MAJORITY! Then, party hearty.

14. I am more worried about his opinion about the 4th Amendment
and whether the government agents need just cause before snooping on citizens! Remember that little dust up with the reporter on that issue not long ago? Hayden was extremely arrogant and WRONG. He is NOT what we need at CIA.

Hope there are some dedicated public servants willing to go to the mat for the agency on this one.

7. For Gallup it'll be about election day
according to them, his rating's been falling a percent per month. By those standards, gallup will be down to 29% in 7 months. So approximately, November.

16. USAToday's poll *IS* a Gallup poll.
Edited on Mon May-08-06 06:47 PM by TahitiNut
USA Today/Gallup (5/5-7/06) - 31% approve, 65% disapprove, 5% not sure, -34% difference

http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm

The USA Today/Gallup poll is especially noteworthy (a milestone?) since it's the first where the disapproval percentage was MORE than twice the approval percentage.

30. If he gets to 26%, he won't even be able to trust his chauffer.
Down to 15%, maybe not even his own secret service.

I can see why Nixon decided to resign.

We're already busy planning celebrations for Fitzo De Mayo and the Fitz of July. Now you want ANOTHER party?

Okay, but I'm not bringing the dip.

I think we should have Confetti icons we can buy to give to each other. Falling confetti, so that some of the DUers will have some colorful posters.

their boy...their corporate tax-cutting, FCC controlling boy!!!!That would put him down there with Nixon as the all-time loser!!!

The republicans are trying to make this seem like it's just a lull...not the fact that people are finally just getting hip to Bush's fascist, corporate policies and full speed ahead elitist agenda...republican ideology!!!
