Bush almost set a couple of records in 2000 and 2004
In the last two campaigns, the parties divided the electoral map almost exactly in half. In 2000, George W. Bush won the second-narrowest Electoral College victory since 1800. In 2004, Bush won a smaller share of Electoral College votes than any reelected president except Woodrow Wilson in 1916.

5. This is the reason I don't understand why people say we have
to move our party to the right to win-and they are talking moving it way over to the right. If we can keep the voting machines honest, I don't think we need to do a thing.

6. Democratic politicians would be wise to
Tell Corporate America to go fuck itself, and move to the left and start representing the majority of American people.

The reason they keep wanting to go right, is that there is more Corporate America cash over there on the right side.

7. And yet * came out boasting he'd earned some "political capital."
The full quote was, "Let me put it to you this way: I earned capital in the campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it. It is my style..."

He should have been **hammered** on this LIE of a soundbite. :grr:
