SNL last night: Powell, Bush/Frist skits were wonderful
Not to mention the Chili Peppers.

Tom Hanks was brilliant in a 90's music video about testicles.

But the opening skit on Frist's Gas Rebate scam, and Bush guaranteeing that fuel prices would top $5.00/gallon had me in stitches.

Colin and Michael Powell as Sanford and Son was a tickler as well.

Enjoy the political skewering if you get a chance - I checked the site but the clips are not up yet. If you get the chance to catch it in re-run, try to make the time.

1. I can't believe I miised the opening sketch - I'll have to hope for
something online soon. Maya Rudolph as Condi-channeling-LaWanda Page was hilarious in the Colin's Place sketch!!

I mean Bushe Gardens is a wonderful vacation spot, not to mention $120.

It was pretty funny. I watched the first 15 minutes and went to be though. I'll watch it to day on TiVo.

10. Wasn't the Poland remark to help Victor Ashe

GW's friend that he gave the job to in Poland.

The one he hustled out of town before the selection of 04.

8. It was great to see some decent
political satire from SNL. The writers seem to be waking up. Perhaps a little Steven Colbert rubbed off on them.

9. I haven't been watching SNL in recent years...
as I thought their comedy had lost a lot of its, well, comedy.

But it sounds like I missed some good stuff last night.

11. The only reason I watched was for Tom Hanks, he has made
some of the most memorable skits on SNL.
