from the story being read, the multiple sources cited, the background details about the drugs? From the last few years, I had thought that investigative reporting was a lost art. Obviously they were waiting for a truly important story on which to use their skills. They didn't want to waste their talents on minor stories like nukes and war and Presidential power grabs and lying.
