9. I tend to agree but

there are ways it can get worse, and it can happen quickly. If we're hit with bird flu, bushco could take draconian measures and easily get away with it. If he decides to bomb Iran, with nukes or with conventional bombs, all bets are off. I'm sure there are other scenarios, but those are the two that immediately come to mind for me.
