Misery Accomplished




Iraqi boys play on the remains of scooters left as trash on the street after they were destroyed recently in a roadside bomb, in Baghdad. Three years after US President George W. Bush prematurely stood beneath a banner hailing "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq, his administration said that the war-torn country finally now is "on the way" toward ushering in stability and democracy.(AFP/Ali al-Saadi)
