PLEASE make liberal use of your Ignore function. I cannot tell you how much more pleasant my experience is when I can agree or disagree with people who are intelligent, polite and genuine. In every contentious thread I read these days, Ignored is always getting into flame wars with everyone else. That tells me ...

1. I have very good judgment
2. It's easier to read and post without getting irritated.

I encourage to take stock of the people who always seem to bypass the rules of civility, and banish them to the cellar...unless, of course, its me.:)

Apart from intelligent discussion, I come here to expose myself to a wide range of opinions. I respect those with whom I have disagreements.

But the "SHUT THE F*** UP! MY TRUTH IS SELF EVIDENT AND OBVIOUS!" crowd leave me cold.

Their tactics have had a chilling effect on rational discussion here.

I am thankful for the Ignore and Hide Thread options that the founders of this site thought prudent to include.
