My 2006 New Year's Resolutions for DU and America

I will work hard to ensure that the Democratic Party nominates progressive candidates up and down the ballot in my area.

I will fight to protect the sanctity of Democracy by standing up for voting reform.

I will work to re-elect Governor Granholm ands Senator Stabenow by cutting away at the Repub money and smear machine where it hurts: The grassroots.

I will stand up for Michigan’s workers by supporting a ballot proposal to raise Michigan’s minimum wage.

I will exercise my right - no, my DUTY - to speak up. Recognizing that freedom of expression is necessary - especially at a time like this - I will write letters to the editor and to my members of Congress, making sure my voice is heard.

I will not make any yak posts in the Lounge.

And finally, I will continue to work toward my ultimate goal: Making sure that when I die - be it in 2006 or 2066 - people will look back at my life and say,

"This world is a better place because he lived in it."
