Need some perspective
Edited on Fri Oct-30-09 12:23 PM by Rambis
Liverpool fan- have Liverpool had more injuries than anybody else in the EPL or is it just that our squad is so short? This weekend Stevie G out Glen Johnson out Kelly out Riera out Aqualani has a virus- Torress has a knock but is going to play. Is it just me or are we unlucky?
thanks

1. Not sure about the EPL
but certainly Derby County in the Championship (managed by your old boy Nigel Clough of course!) are having the worst run of injuries I can recall. They have 17 players out for various reasons at the moment!

Then again, you wrote that post before the 'virus' swept through Melwood that stopped Fabio Aurelio, Dan Agger, Alberto Aqualani, David Ngog, and a host of others playing against Fulham.....

The luck is certainly not with Liverpool at the moment

2. Watched a bit this weekend
Setanta Ireland is starting to carry more of the championship.

We overachieved last year so I shouldn't be surprised. We can't take this run of bad luck. Just seems like one dire bit of news after another. SG is headed for surgery on his groin I just know it, then we can nail the coffin shut.
Cheers!

3. They are definitely having a bad run of injuries.
The players play so many matches EPL, League Cups, Champions League, National Team duties.

I'm amazed they stay healthy at all.

ManU has had its share of injuries and did ok the past several years.

Liverpool will bounce back and make a good run to end the season, and the Reds are REALLY missing Xabi Alonso.
