We just had a 3.1 whose epicenter was within 2 miles of where I live.

I am seriously freaking.

2. Nothing visible...
May have extended the crack in my living room wall about a quarter inch...

People keep telling me that I will get used to this. I am not so sure about that.

:hi:

I didn't even feel the damn thing!

Maybe it didn't travel this far west OR
I'm getting use to them.

Weird- very weird.

I'm glad everything is OK at your house.

5. It felt like a truck ran into the corner of my house...
And the house made a creaky popping noise.

That's exactly what it feels like when it's close.

7. Totally freaked me out.
I was losing it last night. Could not quiet the committee in my head.

8. You'll get used to it -- ride a couple of large temblors and. . .
little quivers like this will serve only as reminders of the possible.

That said, there's nothing that awakens you more than the hollow feel in the pit of your being that any "felt" temblor immediately carves.

9. Actually, a small earthquake is a GOOD thing!
Not to sound like Martha Stewart here, but small earthquakes relieve the pressure on the fault lines. It's when they don't happen for a long time one should get concerned, because then the next one is more likely to be a whopper.

Consider the small ones as preventive maintenance.

10. Yah, I know...
Just still a bit freaky after living for 40 years where the earth does not creak, crack, and bump!
