What does it say for this place that a forum for recovering addicts

I come here sometimes and am reminded of how grateful I am for the program.

Sometimes DU (well, GD-P) is powerless over itself and becomes unmanageable! This group is a gift.

10. Oh my goodness, yes.

I often have to ponder that recovering drunks and junkies are among the sanest people on the planet. As the BB puts it "we are not saints", but most of us are learning compassion and a sense of priorities. We also have a place we can go to run our screwiest notions by others and get some gentle feedback when we're running at right angles to reality.

At my last job, virtually everyone was extremely smart, and most had college degrees. It was totally dysfunctional.

In my family, everyone was smart and had several advanced degrees. It was totally dysfunctional.

But the Program with its wide range of abilities and deliberately loose organization, works - and has done so for over 75 years. Weird.
