Unrequited Love

There She Is
Ramon Pinero 12/31/2004

I saw her
everday
standing at the
bus stop
chin up
eyes straight
ahead
not lookin
up or down

She was
all anyone
could hope
for
and so
distant
like
an oft
heard echo
in the
distance.

There she
was
every
morning
as the
sun rose
and the
world
awakened.

I saw
her
always
standing
there
at
the same
time
everyday

Too timid
too scared
to say
anything;

Why should
should she
even notice
me
much
less talk to
me

There she is
again
like the
Aurora Borealis
always present
always
a
surprise,
unable to
look into
her eyes
lest
I am
burnt
by the
closeness
of such
beauty
such
fire;
such
raw
power.

There she is;
I see her
every
day
as I
watch
the glory
that is
her
She
overwhelms
me
and I
wonder

How does
a mere
mortal
approach
a
goddess
how does
one look
directly
at
a
supernova
without
going
blind.

I see her
everyday
standing
at the
bus stop

I see her
everyday

I see her

and she
has no idea
that I even
exist.

4. Wonderful
I've felt that way on more than one occasion. If I only would have had the courage to speak up just once I might not be a lonely 32 year old single guy. At the very least I might have some good memories to look back upon. At the very, very least at least I could say that I tried.

5. Keep in mind...

There are only things that can happen if you approach the one; They can say yes or they can say no, however if you don't approach, the answer will always be "no"

6. Yep
I guess I'm just afraid of making a fool of myself. The story of my life. My dad once told me that he used to be afraid about what other people would think of him when he was a kid. Once he got a little older and started scocializing more that fear left him. It's a lesson I've never learned.
