Cold versus hot
I'm what you would call peri-menopausal. I'm still bleeding, somewhat regularly but have a lot of the symptoms of this stage of life. I've not had a hot flash - I seem to be on the opposite side of the spectrum, never being able to be warm. Last night I added a fifth (yes, 5) blanket to my bed.

Has anyone else experienced the inability to get warm?

1. I've experienced both hot and cold

I'm in the same stage that you are in, perimenopause. I get hot very easily, but I also get very cold and unable to warm up. If I feel just a little chill, suddenly I have goosebumps and start shivering. It's as if my ability to regulate temperature isn't working at all!

Since the inability to get warm can be a symptom of hypothyroid, I had a thyroid test which came back normal. Other signs of hypothyroid are fatigue, thinning hair and weight gain.

I wish you well.
