I'm burying my beloved HerrHerr on Monday
we were in an automobile accident on January 31st at 9:06 am on the German Autobahn. We hit a pool of water and he lost control of the car. We spun across the autobahn and were hit by a mack truck. I will never forget one second of the accident and how he slumped over onto me and his blood poured onto my pants. He was airlifted to the hospital and I was transported by ambulance to another hospital. I spent three hours undergoing tests and wondering what had become of my husband. He died two days later on his 33rd birthday. I am totally lost without him. He was my life and reason for living.

1. I am glad you found your way here NP. I'm so
sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what you must be going through. I know that your sister was able to travel from the USA to Germany to be with you and I'm glad that she did. Are you staying with your husband's parents?

please post as often and as much as you want here, you are amongst people who care so much for each other.

3. Thank you kesha
we are staying in my apartment that I shared with Markus. I find comfort here. I know he is still with me for the time being.

5. I am so very, very sorry for your loss.
My deepest sympathy on such a tragic loss.

You didn't mention how you are, physically... did you sustain any injuries? Regardless, I pray for deep healing for your self and your heart during this time.

6. Thank you for your sympathy
I did sustain some injuries. My back and chest are injured, torn ligaments and muscles and my right leg and hip are injured as well. I thank you for your prayers. I need them so much right now.

7. I am sorry for your loss.
Take care of your own health. As you heal and gain strength, your positive memories of him will gain strength, too.

12. Too young a widow. We are here to help you
Strength and shoulders to cry on. Were it in our power, you would not have need of us. But since there is need, we pull together.

Your reason for living is not gone. Much of him dwells in you. Take what light he brought to your life, and carry it further, that his light, and yours, enrich all that are touched by you.

But for now, cry it out and let others be a well you draw from.

13. Thank you for lending me your strength and shoulders to cry on
I've been doing a lot crying lately. It's been one month and 3 day since Markus died. I don't know what I am going to do without him. I feel so alone and miserable, knowing I will never kiss him again or hold his hand as we walk through the park or share an inside joke or call each other by our favorite nick-names. Somebody tell me this gets easier?
