1. I'd be interested in hearing about this too.
My arthritis hits my hands and feet very hard, and parafin baths have been recommended. I haven't done it yet. I'd love to hear people's experiences.

2. i take arginine/ ornithine -amino acids ,75%/25%, my symptoms were eliminated in about 10 days, it
worked for my mother for 25 yrs..she is 86 now, me 26 yrs, now 58.

see the book 'life extension' by dirk pearson.. cheap at Amazon.com used excelent indepth reference health book..

ornithine is made up of 18-24 arginine molecules, they are building blocks for T-cell receptor inhibitors, and growth hormones.

also the arginine/ornithine cycle eliminates free radicals and urea from the blood stream.. see handbook of physics and chemistry

it has helped allot of people i know, its toxicity is so low you cant physically consume enough to harm you.

i get it at ..the vitamin shoppe.. at the mall and on their .com
2000mg 300 caps about $24 i think. after the symptoms disappeared i only take it a couple times a week.

i also take their multi mineral, and Sam's cheaper calcium 'Citrate'.. reg CA doesn't absorb.

..and saw palmetto 'berries' caps.. helps for postate problems, eat a lot of flax meal too with every meal.. i get the gold seed and grind it in a dedicated coffee grinder, make my own yogurt by the gallon

good luck

3. They're good for temporary relief of aching
and can really help, especially at night when the ache is keeping you awake.

However, if they're hurting that much, you need to see your doc to find out what kind of arthritis you have. It can all be treated, but you need to make sure the treatment is appropriate.

(personally, I wash dishes by hand. The hot water combined with that amount of activity really loosens my fingers up)

5. I was a PT tech eons ago and gave parrafin treatments to peoples hands.
It is very soothing for the patient and feels really neat coming off.

My daughter purchased a home style machine so I could do it myself at home.

6. I have one with every manicure and pedicure. They are the most wonderful things
I have to tell you, I do not get this done often enough, but that warm wax is just absolutely awesome.

A manicure at a good nail shop with paraffin dip is a good way to try it out and have a little fun too. My nail guy does a deep leg massage, hot towels and the paraffin dip on my feet..it is divine.
