1. Not so happy that CCB gets another whack at the SCOTUS.
I've got company, so I'll be in and out. Happy to be back and it's nice to see everyone. Thanks for the concern, I missed you all.

If you listen tonight, you might be able to hear the sleigh bells. It's a magical night. :)

38. Yeah, I'm not so sure this is a good thing
Other than that it causes * some pain. Although I'm not so convinced he didn't plan it this way all along. I've said from the beginning that Miers was a red herring and that he never planned for her to actually get confirmed. I think he's got someone way worse up his sleeve.

140. Yeah, but it he puts up a wingnut now, the Dems will fillibuster.
I think he only withdrew her because he would've been further embarrassed when she didn't even make it out of committee. I think he appointed her because she's been getting him out of hot water since he was Governor, and he thought he was so damn popular with his 'base' that he could appoint whomever he chose even without Unca Karl's advice. He truly is a bubble boy. I heard someone heckled his speech today, no details yet, but that's good news, one can only hope that soon people will be throwing shaving cream pies at him too. Annthrax Coulter shouldn't be the only one that gets one of those.

141. "Shaving cream, be nice and clean, shave every day
and you'll always look keen." Thanks, Bunny. At least I'm earwormed by something other than Fitzmas carols for a change.

I don't think Miers was meant as a decoy. I think he was trying to slide in a female "stealth" conservative -- someone anti-abortion who didn't have too much of a paper trail. Unfortunately, she a) doesn't know jack shit about constitutional law, and it showed, and b) she wasn't pure enough for the fundies.

144. I don't think he cares at all about overturning Roe v. Wade. He needs
someone on the court badly who will rule in his favor and in favor of his cronies who have indictments coming down the pike, plus to protect corporations who are his real base. I think he is desperate for that and it shows. He tried to slide her by us, but not because he cares about Roe v. Wade, he's been using the fundaholics all along and they know it now. Duh, it took them awhile to figure it out. Guess what fundies, he doesn't care if gay people marry either!!!

cuffs for you and me.

And whips and look @ that toy
oh my my ..... crispini is in for joy

and for Patsy a worm dinner & wine in a box
and for Sharon a Bagel w/ lox

Now St. Fitz knows Gina has been a very bad Girl
so he gave her a Country C.D. by a guy called Merle

The Rev who had been doing the work of the Lord
he had left Keys for a brand new Ford

For Bunny & Bleever he dropped off fresh cans of Snark
and they took em outside to play with in the park.

For Botany he left for a plane ticket......
and money for a rental car .... to show up
@ Steph's house unannounced ......
oh my that is a sticky wicket.

For Keith he left a blank court order
to keep the EDVs away from the New York Border.

Merry Fitzmas
Yellow Cake w/ Indict mint icing

71. OK
Rev was not happy with her Ford so she got a Saturn
being a little grumpy was part of her pattern

For Berry of Ohio she gave an indictment of Noe
it made her happy she got to be glowie

For CC St. Fitz dropped of some pet chow
and a nice bracelet I don't know how

And for Clark in Tennessee he redid her
bathroom it is now a great place to pee

And to the owner of the Golden Retriever
he left of a vacation to the North woods
so they can travel by boat and look @ a Beaver.

152. ohhh a bracelet along with
the kibble. I don't get bracelets as gifts anymore. The SO took it badly one year when I ask if I could trade one in for a new computer. He decided I will buy a bracelet if I want it but he is safer with electronics for gifts.
Though Fitz hands out indictments to many that stick then he can give me the cabal behind bars. Kinda like in this picture but with the bars closer together and meaner cell mates.

I started screaming when the news came on the truck radio!

This is big ....... it goes right to the stolen election and bush.

I sense the house of cards is falling down around bush.

BTW Did you see Fitz stop and hold the door for his co workers?

and compare that to bush's boorish behavior trying to squeeze
ahead of Clinton @ his library.

Don't know if he's an officer and a gentleman, though.

I thought of you as soon as I heard the news about Noe. It's very exciting and just the beginning, I think. Maybe Blackwell will be next. Wouldn't that be nice?

caught as a screen saver from Ken Blackwell's web site on election
night ......

bush's world is about to become a living hell if the Noes roll .....

127. Move along ..... nothing to see here ...... move along
that is what real vote flipping looks like ....
later on the tabulators will sort the # s out so as
to make sure bush wins 51 to 49%

the third party candidate was used as a place to
store the data until later on when the crooks see
how many votes and by what % they have to flip 'em.

The proof is there .... hopefully we can get Ohio
cooking along with the Plame crime too.

BTW this happened many places not just in Ohio and the press knows
about it but will not touch it.

85. I honestly haven't seen horrible things on the local news
The gas stations need electric, there isn't a gas shortage. It honestly hasn't been that bad in Dade, because people waiting for water didn't need it, since the tap water was fine; it probably should have gone to Broward, where they couldn't drink the water. I don't know why those people waited. FEMA probably should have cleared up the red tape a day earlier, but to be fair they were here on the second day. The local municipalities and the Red Cross handed out supplies on the first day.

The mayor was frustrated but his complaints were solved quickly. All in all no one's dying of thirst or exposure.

94. You're supposed to stock up.
You shop in June. :) Batteries, water, canned food. It's always been that no one comes in for at least 24-48 hours. The roads all have to be surveyed and cleared and the routes have to be mapped. The supplies are supposed to last you for the time it takes to get things up and running, either power-wise (it's usually not this long), or FEMA-wise. It almost seems silly to think people could get in within the first 24 hours anyway.

Believe you me, I'm no fan of Jeb, but the stuff came quickly. The organization of the stuff, that may be another issue.

Are you ok, I've been gone the past two days, have to be in the city the rest of today, tomorrow, and Sunday. Couldn't even get on the computer until this morning. I am so happy to see you are here, have power and are posting, we were all so worried about you.

I just kept worrying and worrying, especially since the last thing I had heard from you was your posting of Wilma Flintstone in the eye of the hurricane. I will now catch up in the thread.

I am just so glad to see your post.

148. Thanks, honey bunny!
I saw your thread and meant to respond, but I was so caught up in the excitement of returning to the normal routine.

All is well. The building I work in was damaged and there are part of the roof that leaked through the drop ceilings, which caved.

How'd you side of the state fare? Have you had any reports?

149. Haven't checked yet. The St. Pete Times says no damage in the area,
and my mom is ok. I am renting the house out this year so I have a house agent, her last name is Sherlock Holmes if you can believe it (it's true), and she has not called to report any damage on my little pink home away from home. Storm Beta forming in the Atlantic.

Drop ceilings, they should't really drop literally, should they? Glad you are ok. I'll probably have to wait until Monday night to celebrate Fitzmas with yawl but it's a season, not just one day, right.

155. Corky Sherwood Forest?
So glad to hear all is well up there. The strongest winds and rains didn't seem to go that high up the state. In fact, the West Coast is recovering quicker than we are. So is Key West for that matter. Fantasy Fest is back on.

156. Who knew there was a Fantasy Fest. I would've relocated permanently
had I known. My little Fla-la-la town only has a Gecko fest, thank Gawd, so far, I've missed it.

142. Well, hopefully I can get home in time tonight for the 8 oclock show to
celebrate Fitzmas with you guys but it will more likely be me alone watching the rerun at midnight.

 just in case I'm not here I found another Fitzmas poem on the internets that I'd like to share.

Twas the night before Fitzmas, and in the White House
Every one was scared shitless, and Bush was quite soused
The indictments were hanging like Damoceles’ sword
As verminous oxen prepared to be gored

The perps were all sleepless, curled fetal in bed
While visions of prison cells loomed in each head
And Dick in his jammies, and George in his lap
Were sweating and swearing and looking like crap

When out on the web there arose such a clatter
The blogs and the forums were buzzing with chatter
Away to the PC Rove ran like a flash
He booted his browser and cleared out his cache

The rumors that flew through the cold autumn air
Made Dubya shiver with angry despair
When what to his horror-filled eyes did he spy?
A bespectacled man with a brown suit and tie!

With an impartial manner that gave Bush the shits
He knew in a moment it must be St. Fitz!
With unwavering voice, his indictments they came
He cleared out his throat and he called them by name:

Now Scooter, Now Libby,
Now Blossoming Turd,
Now Cheney, dear Cheney,
Yes, you are the third
To the bench of the court
Up the steps, down the hall
Now come along, come along,
Come along, all!

He then became silent, and went right to work
He filed the indictments and turned with a jerk
And pointing his finger at justice’s scale
Said, “The people be served, and let fairness prevail.”

He then left the room, to his team gave a nod
And the sound could be heard of a crumbling facade
And we all did exclaim, as he faded from sight
“Merry Fitzmas to all, and to all a good night!”
