Alright, I'm done wigging out.
Finished. Completely done. The WIG is OVER.

Well, ok, maybe not entirely done, but I expect to be only at 20% wig instead of all-wig-all-the-time for the immediate future.

Now it's time to get to work.

I just gave my last paycheck to the Red Cross. My company is doubling it. I don't think too much of the Red Cross now but it's all I can do for NOLA.

And on the way to work, I just went by a local collection point and dropped off a bunch of clothes. Also I got my mom to start getting her clothes together and I sent an email to someone in HR asking if we could do a clothing drive here at work.

After work I will go home and clean the hell out of my house and then go get a couple of people to put in the spare room.

When the situation calms down I'll go back to my hometown and start helping them, but I can't get in there right now and I think they are all OK.

That's a start.

1. Sounds like you are putting
the wig out energy to good use. :yourock:

Are they doing clothing drives near you? Getting ready to go through stuff here so I am ready. And the kids have said they want to donate the baby stuff they were given and are trying to talk A's mom into donating the cribs she can't take back. And yes everyone told A's mom she went shopping way to early for baby stuff and I guess she didn't save receipts so A told her she should pack it all up and send it to NOLA. They may be young (19 & 21) but they sure are thinking beyond themselves.
