The square biz re TUCKER CARLSON's time slot, from MSNBC's website
I posted this before, when the question first came up.

I believe the president of MSNBC knows more about the network's programming plans than the Murdoch Post -- don't you all?

TUCKER CARLSON TO JOIN MSNBC
Feb. 2, 2005
FROM MSNBC's WEBSITE:

SECAUCUS, NJ - Tucker Carlson will join MSNBC, it was announced today by Rick Kaplan, President of MSNBC. Carlson will start with the network next week and will host a primetime program *at 9:00 p.m. ET.*

The program is in development and will debut in second quarter. . . .

"Tucker and I have a long history together and I'm extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with him at MSNBC," said Kaplan. "He is without a doubt one of the sharpest minds and best writers in this business. His passion and enthusiasm are both energizing and remarkable. He is truly a pleasure to work with."

"This is a tremendous opportunity to do something creative and original in cable television," said Carlson. "MSNBC is on the move and I'm thrilled to join the team." . . .

Carlson began his journalism career as a staff writer at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

3. Yes, I called it the "Murdoch Post" in the thread opener.
AKA "The New York PEST."

4. P.S. --
. . . and not "pest" as in annoyance, but "pest" as in PESTILENCE -- something destructive and pernicious.

5. Ahhh Murdoch.....
did you see how he's hiding his gazillions of dollars from taxes?

If I were a more organized DUer, I'd have that article handy, but I know I saw it discussed on DU somewhere.

6. More to the point is all the times the Post has had to eat its words . . .
. . . regarding its PREDICTIONS. . . the primary reason being that Murdoch himself can't resist messing in the editorial content of the tab -- often substituting his own desires, which turn out to be false.

There are a number of documented instances of this.

I wouldn't be an editor on that schmata for any amount of money.

8. gk -- When you're discussing Murdoch & the New York Pest . . .
. . . dog poop and schmatas ARE on topic.

The saddest thing here is that *THIS* dog poop WASN'T stolen.
