I just brought Miss Kitty's ashes home.
The woman at the vet's office was so kind as she gave them to me. The were in a box, and as soon as I got it in my hands, I started crying again.

When I got home, I opened the box, and found that the ashes are in a small beautiful urn. It's now sitting on a table where I can see it, in the room where Miss Kitty spent most of her time.

I miss her so much, but I also feel she's here with me again.

1. I'm so sorry
I just saw your other thread. What a beauty she was. :hug:

Just last night I was in my closet and looked up at the shelf and I noted that I still have my dear departed Carmine's ashes there. I usually say hello to the little box containing the can. I feel like he is with me, too.

4. That's so sweet.
Some people may think we're silly for this, but I don't.

I know how much our pets mean to us.

5. Thank you, Gigi.
I actually feel better, having her ashes here with me.

It's almost like Miss Kitty herself if here.

3. Aww...
:hug::hug::hug:

I had Roo cremated. The next year, when Binky died, I asked if they could put their ashes together. They're in a pretty tin, shaped like a cat. And they made a plaster cast of their paws, and clipped some of their hair to save. There's enough room in there for Oreo when her time comes.

Holding you close in my thoughts and prayers. :hug:

7. I'm glad you were able to get her ashes back.
I did that with the first cat I had on my own. The vet didn't put them in an urn, but they were in a nice metal canister.

Brings me some comfort.
