and I say this as one who is supporting Obama, because I think he's got a better chance of winning in the general election. Part of the *reason* I think he's got a better chance is the very public and open hostility of the press towards Clinton. We've already seen how that kind of press hostility can cost us the election.

But I still like and respect Senator Clinton, and I find it infuriating the people who are supposed to be on *our side* are bashing her too.

Ok, so she's losing. Does that mean she's the devil incarnate? She's been a pretty reliable party-line vote (with a few notable exceptions, which I fully understand have caused some people to oppose her candidacy). She's done much work for "the cause" over her life time. She doesn't deserve this kind of public derision.

Did you see his Special Comment a few weeks ago on Clinton? I know a lot of her supporters on DU decried it, but what I heard was someone pleading with her to stop going the way she was going, and get back on track.

What he's been pointing out, as have others in the media, are the inconsistencies, "misspeaks", etc., that seem to have become a hallmark of her campaign. Tell you the truth, it makes me sad, because I've been a long-time admirer of Senator Clinton. But I don't admire a lot of what she's doing lately.

Dad is in Israel -- should be sleeping now. They finished the burial about three hours ago, around 11 at night there. I talked to him after they got back to my sister's house. He seemed to be okay.

The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press really screwed up the obit today. They said my mother was the beloved wife of the "late David." That's a surprise to all of us, especially my dad. I called the funeral home first thing today when I saw it and was livid. They gave the right information to the papers, and somehow it got screwed up. A correction will be printed tomorrow. The funeral home got calls all day from people who know my dad.
