Update on Mom and Sheridan

Well this hasn't been as stressful a week as I first thought it would be. The stress has been postponed until this coming Wednesday April 9.

First off, Mom decided she couldn't handle the MRI machine that would have scanned her. She said it made her claustrophobic. So her Oncologist sent in a prescription for some meds to calm her during the MRI which they said would take about 25 mins. So she was rescheduled for this coming Wednesday morning.

Also, although I wanted to have Sheridan's mouth surgery this week, I have been down with a cold/flu--not sure which it is at this point--for most of the week. I took this week off for just this purpose, but my illness had other ideas. LIFE SUCKS!!! Sorry just felt like screaming that even if it was only typed! :)
Anyway, his surgery is also set for this coming Wednesday, April 9.

So just thought I'd let everyone know and to thank all who responded for their good wishes. Hope they last for another week. :)

I'm praying all goes well for your mom and Sheridan. If you can look into an open MRI for your mom, that'll be better for her. I had it last year and it was not as bad as I thought. The only thing was, the room was freezing and it lasted about 25 minutes, which was better for me because the results came back normal, and that was a true blessing for me.

You had some pretty nasty weather down there in NC the last few weeks, so I know how it is. I have family in Wallace and they got hit real hard recently with downpours. If you have some chicken soup, put some garlic powder or minced garlic in it and that'll help lessen the misery of your cold. Herbal tea with honey and lemon juice (real or bottled) helps too.
