6. I can't stand to get into those threads
There are numerous misunderstandings about the Troubles--that it is a religious war, that the Brits are only there to keep the two sides from killing each other, etc--but I'm glad there are others willing to confront the worst of it.

I have tried to understand The Troubles (just for openers), read about them to a pretty good extent and I be go-to-hell if I ain't more ignorant than when I started!

My friend Davey from Clare says one has to be born and raised in Ireland to even begin to have a clue...
