2. My exercising has nothing to do with the news
positive or negative. It has to do with me wanting to remain healthy.

3. I figure the way things are going in Bush's Merica,
you better get as healthy as you can. That's still no guarantee, but I am determined to reign in some excessive life style habits & get myself in as good a shape as I possibly can in hopes that it will payoff in fewer medical issues when I'm old. I've watched my mother go from being vibrant & active in her middle age, to being weak & completely unsure of herself on her feet as she has aged. She grasps at handrails, walls, anything that's available, when she walks & she is unsteady on her feet. I wonder how much of it is due to lost muscle mass.

4. It'll be easier to outrun the zombies if I'm in shape.
Because zombies have got to be next on the disaster list....

5. to help cope with negativity
physical activity gets me out of my head. When I work out I'm not thinking about how much the GOP has screwed up, or about my job, or the troubles w/ my kid.

All I think about is how to get through the next 40 minutes of aerobic activity, and how my form needs to be when I'm lifting.

Exercise is stress relief.
