Daily Exercise Thread - 1/27/05
Argh! I missed out again this morning. But, I hope to do my DVD when I get home.

Keep up the good work everybody. :-)

If the poor overweight jogger only knew how far he had to run to work off the calories in a crust of bread he might find it better in terms of pound per mile to go to a massage parlor. ~Christiaan Barnard

2. Today...
After the intensity of my workouts yesterday and Tuesday, and in consideration of the fact that I got almost NO sleep last night, I took it easy today:

WATP 2-Mile walk, 2-lb weights (which for me is like using no weights).

I feel like I should do more, but I'm too tired. My eyes feel like heavy weights. If I get my customary second wind at 4:00, I'll do another fast mile. Think I'll go to the gym tomorrow for something different.

4. Aarrrgghh! Stomach bug...
Seriously limited my ability to workout. Took the boys to TKD, managed to do 2 rounds of strength exercises (pushups, bicycle crunches, lying hip extension/kicks) during class.

5. I didn't work out at all.
I went with a friend to take her 10 yr old German Shepherd to be euthanized. He had lung cancer (obviously spread from elsewhere) and had been going downhill for a week.

She just sort of needed a shoulder to cry on, and a ride to and fro. He was a great dog. I had the pleasure of dogsitting numerous times and always enjoyed it, so I feel a huge loss as well.

6. You're a good friend.
I know your friend was grateful to have you there and the fact that you cared for her dog meant even more to her.

7. light bodyweight before bed
25 pushups, 30 squats, 15 crunches.

I start the gym next week-need to get a little notebook to record progress in. I am going to ATL too, so will miss the friday workout, but my girlfriend offered to take me to her new bikram yoga class.
