I found a page of treasures today at You Tube.
Hubby and I have been watching each one listed there. They are videos of Johnny Cash and June Carter through the years. I did not know where else to post them, but they are too good not to post somewhere.

Johnny Cash was not just a country singer to those of us who are older. He came on the scene about the same time as Elvis, and they had songs on the hit parades at the same time quite often.

This has some treasures.

1. Thanks
Some good music there.

I think one person commented that June got better looking as she got older, and I can definitely see it. What a love affair.

2. Yes- thanks for that
Not sure how well you were able to crosslink back into the past. Here's June's mother Maybelle with her old Gibson and sister Sara on autoharp. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlFyGPNmOvI&mode=related&search=

I had some of their recordings on a few 7" EP's back in the mid sixties. Five of years ago, having got back into YOUR music again.....lol, I bought the complete set of all their recordings and radio transcriptions from 1927 forward on 12 CDs .
My favorite is Wildwood Flower. This short clip has got an interview with Maybelle :

AS you're in FL I guess you'd have got on well with Annie / doyoueverwonder who got tombstoned on DU back in January. Annie is an old time fiddler.
