A dream representing The Hanged Man of the Tarot
Last night I experienced two dreams of houses.

The first was the real life house of a former roommate. He is still what I call one of my "confessional friends", in that I can tell him anything, and he always tells me the truth about myself. He just happens to be brilliant and wise. Another man had purchased the house at my suggestion. When I met him, I was so very happy for him. He was younger than I with a very youthful appearance. We became lovers. He, his children and I became family. There was a lower level of the house which we set afire. There was good reason for it. We felt no conflict. We went down while the fire was small and retrieved all the personal belongings that were important.

The second dream was viewed from outside. It was a multi-storied house with pier and beam, and a lattice under pinning, some of which was missing. I was taking pictures of it before demolition. As I focused below where the lattice had been removed to take a photo, I noticed on the far side, partially hidden behind a beam, a lovely light colored, large piece of drift wood. I made a mental note to rescue that before the house was felled.

The Mythic Tarot: The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man shows an image of the Titan, Prometheus, hanging upside down from a rock. Prometheus loved mankind dearly enough to steal precious fire from the gods, with which he sought to enlighten humanity. Because of his love for the human race, he was prepared to make a painful sacrifice in order to obtain the holy fire.

Sacrifices can be made for one's own wishes, for the sake of the community or for mankind at large. But whatever the sacrifice may be, it will consists of voluntarily giving something up for something which is of greater value to the person, cause or country. On an inner level, the journey to the underworld of the unconscious can involve giving up the power of the conscious mind in order to gain greater knowledge of the unknown. Many mythic heroes or gods (...) made the journey to the underworld in order to return with a lost treasure reclaimed. This involved the risk of not returning at all, for the journey to the underworld was notoriously perilous. Any sacrifice requires a risk or an act of faith because there are no guarantees of success. (...)

The Moirai give us more responsibility for our own destiny and The Hanged Man marks the point at which the conscious mind has, as C.G. Jung puts it in Psychology and Alchemy, volunteered to die in order to beget a new and fruitful life in that region of the psyche which has hitherto lain fallow in darkest unconsciousness, under the shadow of death. (...)

There is a choice to be made, a conscious voluntary choice which will inevitably have far reaching consequences. (...)

1. this is where i got the best understanding of the Tarot, how it works and how to use it...>Link>>

they charge a membership fee, i studied quite a while with them. it is structured, which REALLY helps a lot. the system is multi-dimensional. you study both exo-teric and Eso-tericly. one reads the lesson of a card them Meditates on the card for a prescribed time. i considered it a very good system, if you should accidentally astro-project during a practice and get a little freaked out, or get stuck understanding a card.. you can contact them and they will explain it for you. they go thru the cards at a basic level, then go thru again at a higher level.. i highly recommend their system.. of course people have different mental/emotional predispositions and nothing is perfect for everyone.

i was failing Geology in Collage.. we had a real loser of a professor.. a 'stand in professor' an arrogant egotistical PhD oil company Geo-chemist

i got up at 3am to hopelessly study for the midterm.. i was just staring at the pages, flipping from back to front.. then i realized geological laws were just physical laws that reflected Spiritual laws.. some cards explained it all.. i ran to classroom, got there at 5am. all of the class were there already, several people were crying.

i got up in front and started drawing pictures and writing formula of fundamental building blocks of hydrates, calcium, silicates, etc.. i put it all together in about 45 minutes.. i told them if they remembered the formulas and the 5 system rules they would pass.

the test ended up being a 4 question ESSAY TEST. I i had a 00point repidigraph pen, wrote in tiny letters and covered both sides of all 4 pages.. when we got the tests back, we all passed, then he says.."i want to pass this persons test around, everybody is to read it. i gave gary an A+ at midterm, he doesn't have to take anymore tests just attend class... because there isn't anything more to be said about Geology. its definately a universal language

i had a similar Tarot dream about the 'Tower" just before my X-wife suggested i go on a 3 day camping trip with my friends. when i got back she had removed "EVERYTHING" from our house.."EVERYTHING".. i was standing in an empty house, everything i had was gone, she screwed my best friend, called my boss said i beat her up, got me fired, and ran off with 2 crack whores and their pimp... taking our 4 year old.. never saw him again.

i found the best book to be this one

especially the beginning before he starts with the cards. a wonderful explination of the arrangement of the deck that i have never seen before. it defines the cards agents/powers/etc. there is more to a card than what is on it..
