2. Thanks,
though it looks like it's for photos. By jpeg I meant my origninal pastels that have been digitized. Will it still work? Do my images have to be stored somewhere on the Net to be posted at DU?

3. As long as you have them on hard drive you can upload
to photobucket. From there you get the url to post here. You can practice on this thread.

5. a tidbit of info
i had trouble uploading images to webshots, and to my yahoo photo album. i figured it out that it was because they were cmyk. when i converted them to rgb, they were fine.

4. You'll need to upload the work to a http page. Then
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 11:39 AM by lthuedk
you can link to it using the simple format:

bracket img closed bracket image file bracket img/ closed bracket

-where "image file" is the entire uploaded file name starting with "http" and ending with ".jpeg."

8. Oh, Very Nice
I love your palette.

You might want to resize the photos downwards, to about a max pixel width 600. That way you can be sure your work will take up less than a full screen and people won't have to scroll.

10. In Photobucket
You can resize. I'd start with a 75% reduction and see how that looks.

19. Why shucks........:)
Thank you! Seriously, I maen it. It was a long time coming in just allowing myself the permission to do this. It is a long buried desire. Being an artist wasn't considered 'real' work when I was a kid. They meant well, but it diverted me from who I am for a long time.
