My Scene of Summer entry
Gosh it went so fast, I blinked and we're already and the finals! What a stunning group of pictures too, I just love them all. Mine would have been an early out for sure, but this is probably what I would have entered. I took it a few weeks ago on a camping trip. Probably would have just called it Whittaker Creek.

1. Or called it Summer Serenity...
because that what it brings to my mind. I also think it would of done great because it is so serene and cool in a lazy, peaceful summer afternoon way.

2. That song "Summertime" plays in my head
It was a real lazy afternoon when I took it too, on our grandson's first camping trip.

3. I hope he had fun.
It looks like the perfect place to escape the awful heat we've had.

4. lol, we were going *to* the heat
We have had the most miserable cold summer on the coast. We went inland so it would be warm enough to actually play in some cool water and enjoy it. He had a great time, we roasted weenies on branches, the whole bit. I forgot how good those taste.

6. Should of come down here.
Even the beach was hot. Was bad when we were hotter than Florida. Glad he had a great time and hope you took marshmallows to cook too. I haven't had a hot dog roasted on a stick in years/ Might have to do that to remind myself how much better they are that way.

5. Lovely. I would have called it "Where's the mosquito repellant"?

7. Frankly
the heat is taking it's toll on my nerves and on my energy level. Your picture, and more specifically the idea of being there seems like the perfect antidote!

8. I want so badly to sit on that little bank
and slip my feet into the water under that pyramid of trees. What a lovely spot you found. :hi:
