52. It's actually two different shots
with two different lenses, if I remember right.

Sometimes I like the hand one better, and sometimes I just like the symmetry of the first one. I think we're going downtown today, in the daylight, so maybe I can explore what this is a little more fully. :) Whatever it is, it's a recent addition to that sidewalk...I sure don't remember it being down there before this winter.

13. I love the gulls.
I found when I was looking through my own stuff to contribute for this thread, I was much more drawn to recurring themes in nature than in human-made items/structures. I dunno. The natural ones just seem more... pure and the others... contrived. (Not the photos themselves, the subject matter.) Anyway, the birds made me smile when I saw them. Nice work. :hi:

22. Proof: Cigarettes kill, and a bonus shot in the same cemetary
The first one is of course some graves of the family members of Richard Joshua Reynolds lining up at the foot of his standing large memorial.
In Winston-Salem, when I arrived here in the early sixties as a non-smoking teen, I had to smoke in job interviews, and I best smoked a Reynolds product.
(30 years later I finally quit)

on the way to Zions National Park. Within 45 miles there is a little off the road town called Parrowan. There are a lot of Fremont Indian carvings. Some of the rock carvings are unfortunately damaged by kids who want to add their own brand of "SC *heart* GH". Broke my heart to see that kind of defacing of ancient artwork.
