For a reason, the great white and great blue herons.





And then, a blue one takes on a pinkish tinge at dusk





They don't just wade, they pose in trees



On the way back to the dock, we came across this



so we got closer



Oh, yeah, they fly, too





I'm glad the herons cooperated, because the bluebirds and cardinals were too fast for me!
