No Work + Sunshine = Road Trip
We took a little drive down to Portage this morning, about a 50-mile drive south, because sunny days when I don't have to work are so few and far between. :) Here are a few shots - I'll post more later.

1. Hey, i was there!
:hi: Did you take any shots of the earthquake houses?

The second shot is gorgeous with the sun beams, but for some reason I prefer the third shot. I like the snow on the peaks with the clouds lurking right over them. It's as if they allowed the snow to show just for you. :)

2. No, we didn't stop for the earthquake houses this time...
They're sinking further and further into the ground with each passing year. I just know some spring we're going to drive down there and nothing will be left but a pile of old boards. Time marches on. :)

5. These are stunning.
Beautifully composed, with a wonderful foreground/background balance (especially the first one), and the light of the low-lying sun adds real magic to these scenes.

Just wonderful work.
