4. I like black bear

I like the "wild" part of it, a little bit of skeeriness. The brown one is great too, adorable, probably would suit DU better.

5. A sucker for cuteness, so I chose Brown Bear...

Black Bear is really an awesome photo, though. I really had a tough time choosing. Both tugged at my emotions, but in very different ways. Brown Bear had the awwwww...so sweet factor, while Black Bear was wow....kinda scary. That's one powerful critter.
I really love both of them. How did you capture these shots? Just incredible!

OMIGOD. I would have needed a Depends, bears scare the crap out of me. I remember a couple of times while I was in grad school at UVA, going up to the Blue Ridge to study. There are plenty of picnic tables and scenic areas. It always creeped me out, I felt like bears were in the vicinity. So I left. :yoiks:
