1. That sunset
sure was spectacular! It didn't get that warm here today but might tomorrow.

Nice shot!

2. Thanks Mz Pip! Wasn't the sunset gorgeous this evening!
You get those nice coastal temps don't you? Between Fairfield and Benicia we are just inside the Central Valley zone (the coastal fog stops like a wall on the ridge behind our house) so we got pretty hot here today (it is STILL hot at 9:30).

It is supposed to be a real scorcher tomorrow and Friday...stay cool! :hi:

8. It can be warm and sunny
all over the Bay Area and Albany will be covered in fog. When I worked in Pinole the temperature would drop 10 degrees on the ride home, sometimes more.

I'll hit our little beach tonight and hope for another gorgeous sunset.

Don't forget to hydrate!

4. Hey Blue!
yeah, sounds like you could use some heat up there...45*?

According to what is supposed to be in store tomorrow I think 45* will actually sound pretty good right around 2:00 p.m. ... :scared:

5. It just doesn't want to warm up here this year
It's been gray and cloudy with strong winds in the afternoon, generally pretty miserable. I believe this is the result of La Nina, which is why we had so much snow this year, too. They're forecasting some sun and "maybe" over 60 this weekend, so I'm going to plant my garden, come what may. The rule of thumb up here is you can plant when the birch leaves are as big as squirrel's ears, and they've just crossed that threshold in the past couple of days, so I'm going to go for it.

10. Sunset here wasn't quite that good
Got a hill that block off the really good part. Temps were in the high 80s.

today it was almost 80F when I came out of school at 2pm. My clematis already bit the big one, could be that I forgot to water it too. My bad. :(

14. I can blame it on hubby, I wasn't home
Edited on Fri May-16-08 04:36 AM by 48percenter
but then I never thought to tell him to water the poor thing. Last night we got hammered with a huge (hugh ) storm, I'll have to go out and see if Jack (jackmanii) is alright. But I don't hold much hope.

It's screwy this year, my little dark purple lilac bush bloomed, last year it did not. All of my lavender plants died, they usually winter over. And my wisteria is either very late or not going to flower this year. Many of my daffodils/narcissus didn't flower either.

:wtf:

16. Wow!
I think we're finally done here -- at least I hope so since I've been sticking plants in the ground the past few days. I just couldn't wait any longer.
