1. That's a wonderful shot.
I have such trouble with blowing out the exposure when it's completely dark like this. Great job.

3. You got a great moon shot
recently. I do know what you mean though, the moon is difficult. Found this for you because that new lens should get you way up close. http://www.wrotniak.net/photo/moon/index.html

4. Thanks for the info, CC
The reason my other moon shot came out okay was that it wasn't dark yet and the contrast wasn't so great. The tips in the article look useful. (That is, if we ever see the moon again. It just can't stop snowing here. We're expecting another 6-12 inches today.)

5. Thank you
I had to stop down 2 full f-stops to not have it blow out.

2. Great Full Wolf
moon shot. I love the way the trees are framing the moon.

6. Nice shot.
I tried to capture it last night too and failed miserably. Good job under tough lighting conditions. What lens did you use?

7. The guide someone posted is a good one
I just remember that it is the same as sunlight reflecting off of concrete.

ASA 400 125th at f5.6 to 8 or so... if I can revert to my film mentality

Good one, bracketing helps, so does EV adjustments on modern cameras.
