Denver Downtown Aquarium -- Dialup warning
Edited on Wed Aug-30-06 11:18 AM by RadFemFL
Here are some shots I took at the Denver Downtown Aquarium. These were all taken on 'action' mode, no flash, with my Olympus C-5000. No zoom, no extra lense. My sister and I were taking my nieces there, so these were all 'snapshots' while we were walking through the exhibit. They have not been edited or cropped yet. Suggestions welcomed.

Aquarium trivia: The Denver aquarium and Houston aquarium are owned by the same company -- Landry's, of Houston seafood restaurant fame.

1. Oceans Journey?
Wow!!! These are great. When my sis and niece were visiting we were suppose to go there but never made it. Seeing your great photos... I regret we didn't. Love the Moon Fishies.

I did take my niece to Six Flags, which is just down the street from Oceans Journey. My first and last visit to that place. With parking it was 115 fucking dollars just for the two of us to get in this place. How can a family afford to go there? Major rip off...

Did bring my pocket camera cause' it was the only thing that could survive the rides. One was a roller coaster that you ride in the prone position. Just for the record... this ol' fart outlasted my niece.:)

I was told this snap looked phallic.

2. Yes, it used to be called Ocean Journey
They changed the name after the Landrys bought it. It looks almost exactly like the one in Houston, so I'm thinking they copied this one for Houston's (which is fairly new).

It is a great aquarium, you should definitely visit it next time you're in Denver.

Remember sumtin' about Ocean Journey having financial problems but didn't know the outcome of that. Now I know. Will definitely check it out. Thanks
