A few of my pics of Paris
Edited on Fri Jan-20-06 08:42 AM by GOPFighter
I spent two days in Paris last October. Had to cram a lot of walking and photography into the few hours it didn't rain.

Paris is my favorite city - hands down. I've had a camera and my billfold stolen there on different occasions, but I can't stop going back. For romantics, a summer evening walk along the Seine with someone you love is an experience you will never forget. And it's a fun city to photograph.

====================

1/400 sec, f 4.0 (all photos were taken with ISO 100)

1/500 sec, f 5.6

1/800 sec, f 4.0

1/160 sec, f 4.0 (heavily altered using Paint Shop Pro)

1/320 sec, f 2.8

1. Paris is a gorgeous city architecturally, and your pics are
great! I know what you mean about the weather, too.
I love that last pic; lots going on!

2. Eiffle Tower
Man, that really worked out. Great picture. (It probably would have been a little better if you'd panned left a bit, to include the fountain, and move the tower from dead center, though. I mean, if you want feedback).

The light and movement and subjects are all fantastic, though. It's hard to get good backlight pictures like that.

5. Oui!
I have to go to Monaco in June, which means another stop in Paris. My wife will join me this time which will mean fewer pictures - but I won't mind...

No matter how often they're photographed, there's still infinite untapped possibilities. Even le Metro is full of opportunities.

4. Absolutely gorgeous!
I love the Notre Dame shot. Old picture postcard quality. Very nice. And the stormy sky only enhances the photos.

7. These are beautiful...
I've never been there, but my middle daughter spent 2-1/2 months in Paris in 2001 studying at the Sarbonne on a student exchange program. She really enjoyed herself, but said that the men tended to be a bit "forward." I guess the concept of 'sexual harrassment' hadn't caught on there yet.

10. It was a great trip for her.
She was also able to spend time in Spain and Morocco and got home just a couple of weeks before 9/11. I'm so glad she got the opportunity to travel over there (particularly Morocco) before things got so crazy.

12. Great shots, you are making me want to go back
I was in Paris in August. I laugh when I hear conservatives denigrating France, such ignorance. I could live in Paris to my dying die and never have a regret. Cheers fellow Franchophiles......

I especially like the Tower pic.....
