There is a high risk of abuse with Xanax. As far as I know, there is very little risk of abuse with Buspar.

1. My reasons are:
Buspar is a drug you must take everyday, whether having anxiety issues or not. With Xanax, you take it as needed.
I took Buspar before and promptly put on 20 pounds.

I don't seem to get addicted to drugs, don't know why.

2. It must be a case of chronic vs sudden anxiety issues.
Damn, couldn't at least ONE of my prescriptions cause me to lose weight!

3. Because Buspar doesn't really do very much except
potentiate other meds?
