Something interesting I found..on PSTD..
Iwas looking for somethuing else and I clicked this page, read some of it and found three interesting points..

The word "psychotic" (or crazy) usually means experiencing or believing things that are not real: being "out of touch with reality".

People with PTSD's have essentially the opposite problem. They are in too much contact with reality, and in contact with realities that most people have the privilege of not knowing about.

It is just as possible to be sick from too much contact with reality, as from not enough.

..

Forgiveness is a word for something that does not exist in the real world. There is no way to go back and act as if nothing ever happened, which is what most people want and most people think forgiveness means. People other then the survivor made bad choices, with terrible outcomes, and became worse human beings as a result.

...

A new family can be built out of the people who choose to be part of your life, whether or not they were born Into it. A real family is something people do together, not something they are.

1. I would fuss with that def of psychotic.
Imho, a better one is "being of touch with shared reality" - cause the stuff that happens during a psychotic episode is very real to at least one person.

definition of psychosis either,it seemed off..biased. But her definition of PSTD was spot on. I think.
anyways what touched me most was her definition of Family. Now I know why I hate where I am at here, I have no"family " My real Family is in Baltimore in the freak artist and GB LT community.Ain't nothing like that out here. And this is why I always tried to escape this town growing up, I wanted another family.I found my real family and now I am far away from them and can't be there to be with them and I hate it.

4. Her definition of family is so true. It's what we do with other people.
Are you saying that you feel isolated where you live now?
