2. Don't worry. They won't cross paths.
I was listening to C-Span yesterday and Sen. Allen proposed the 2 of his three amendments guaranteed to lock in poverty for the USA for the forseeable future. He introduced a balanced budget amendment on the floor yesterday. (And he wanted a 'line item veto' amendment and some other amendment that would make sure that Americans can't form labor unions or anything like that. What a jerk.)

3. I now totally agree with your "stand" on Junior Senator terminology
Although isn't Allen a junior Senator too. Warner's been there a long time.

The article ends on a nice note and is balanced otherwise - I guess Jr Senator and 2004 Presidential nominee is good.

Permutter is one of the candidates getting support from Kerry's PAC? Wouldn't suprise me if he is. I don't think Kerry and Allen will cross paths. But if they did, I'm sure JK would be a perfect gentleman. :)

5. Damn.
All the wrong people get challenged to a duel. Sigh!

I agree, my taller Senator would be silent and pass him on by. Barfie would probably try to make some stupid remark about Kerry, 'making his day.' Barfie is intolerable.

6. Oh Geez...
That primary is turning into bloodsport between Perlmutter and Peggy Lamm, the wife of the former Governor. Kerry is showing some real intestinal fortitude wading into that one. Good for him.

7. You in Western CO, Colorado Springs area, right?
That means that a hike to see something in this district would entail hours of travel, is that right?

8. CS is central, but yeah, hours.
Geographically, it's not that far. It's about an hour to Denver, but the 7th is out on the North and Eastern fringes of the Denver 'burbs, plus Adams county. So, if it's in some other place in Adams, I'm definately not going to make it. Even if it's in the part of the county closest to me, it would still be an all day proposition.

I wouldn't even be thinking about it if not for "reading week". I get a week off of classes starting in an hour and I'm going to be home. Right now I'm in snowy Canada.

I will put in a call to Vektor to have her ask people at the PAC where this is. (Just in case, PM Vek and ask her.)

If you do go, and if you get to meet JK, would you do me a favor? (Pretty please.) Would you tell him that you are one of 'the bloggers' and one of the folks who sent representatives to Boston last Dec. (Cuz, that way he will actually believe it's not all women here.) Just that you are one of 'the bloggers' (That was a catch-all phrase that meant any activity on the web, btw.)

11. If anybody wants to keep track of this, or just learn about CO politics
check out www.coloradopols.com

You can register and post there pretty easily as I understand, so keep an eye out for Kerry bashing from both sides of the divide (both political and continental) if you're interested.
