A Kerry thread on a non-political board

I came accidentally across a Kerry thread on a Star Trek board today and it was... devastating. :cry:
All the right-wing talking points and prejudices where there. Rove & Co. have done a fine job of character-assassination.

it's mild compared to some DU threads - which is sad. I certainly don't get the charisma thing because he is really very charismatic.

2. Seems to me most of the negative is coming from one guy and

since we can't be sure if he even has a party affiliation, I wouldn't take it to seriously. John Kerry has time to dispell those misconceptions pertaining to his personality. Besides, what do a couple of trekies know? They actually sould like KOS people.

won't get on thread that is going strongly negative. I wouldn't put a lot of stock in it. Besides, the themes promoted by Star Trek would support a Kerry-like candidate over *co any day. The lead critic is in severe denial.
