* is a wimp. His speech at the Council on Foreign Relations
tomorrow is speech only, no questions. C-Span notes that he breaks CFR tradition by not taking questions afterward.

Can you even imagine an appearance where Sen. Kerry doesn't take questions? Heck some of his Q&A's are longer than the speeches.

Bush is such a :hide:

1. Has he ever answered spontaneous questions?
I mean actual spontaneous questions from an audience not hand-picked by his cabal. I can't think of a time that he has, although it would be sadly amusing if he attempted to do so.

2. Wasn't the last time a press conference in early 2004
after a completely pathetic MTP. Where he couldn't think of an answer to any mistake he made.

3. there was that post-election press conference
the one where he said he had political capital--but who knows if the questions were checked beforehand or not.

4. Here's what I want to see
Somebody, somewhere has to be able to get into one of these love fests. I want to see someone with a huge sign that just says "Bullshit" and have them hold it up every time he lies. And when they see the secret service come, they stand up like Norma
Rae and they march towards the stage and shout "Why can't citizens ask their President a question?" And they just keep moving towards Bush and when SS gets closer they say "Are you really going to prevent a US citizen from talking to their President?" and half the crowd hates him anyway and were forced to be there and they turn their sign towards the crowd and and the crowd all sees it and starts chanting "Bullshit, Bullshit, Bullshit"...

and I'm out of breath. Whew. That was nice.

5. We are certainly getting to that point. I'd like to see the citizen be a
service man in uniform. :patriot:
