But I have to go out in a couple of minutes. Nevertheless, I am confident, that unlike last week, I'm going to be able to catch a fiery JK speech on the Senate floor!

He is getting better and better! He defended Murtha with the strongest words and once again pointed out all the mistakes the Bush administration made before and during the Iraq war. Wasn't that part of his Georgetown speech if I remember right?

19. I recorded Kerry -- both times -- and
most of Kyl's blather. I finally turned it off when I got tired of Kyl and Sessions kissing each other's butt.

I did it with video capture software -- not cable TV, so it's the quality of the streaming video we see on our computers. I'll upload it to YouSendIt.

http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2GHY32PRQT4MQ2UZX9NS7AOISY

It plays in RealPlayer. I'm sorry there's about 3 minutes of Grassly or somebody gassing on -- no way for me to edit that out. I hit Record early to avoid missing any JK. Maybe you can just move the slider forward to the JK part.

Sometimes moving the slider forward makes the picture get all weird. But the file isn't actually corrupted. Just keep playing with it till you can see it clearly.

Thank you so much.

This is a fascinating speech. He and Kyl and Session are in different worlds altogether.

Kerry is clearly speaking to us - it's like he knows we're watching and listening. He is passionate and he is right. And the more he speaks like this the more attacks he's going to invite from the administration. And that's okay. He can take it.

We were watching CNN last night when Wolf got a special news flash - a press release on Murtha from little Scotty in Japan:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/11/20051118.html

STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

Congressman Murtha is a respected veteran and politician who has a record of supporting a strong America. So it is baffling that he is endorsing the policy positions of Michael Moore and the extreme liberal wing of the Democratic party. The eve of an historic democratic election in Iraq is not the time to surrender to the terrorists. After seeing his statement, we remain baffled -- nowhere does he explain how retreating from Iraq makes America safer.

Michael Moore???? We all burst out laughing. And that is the administration's problem. The dems are addressing the issues, and the repukes are living in fantasyland. Same problem McCain had on Hardball yesterday - every time he was confronted with a difficult truth he had to claim ignorance. It's a loser.

I too missed it on tv. But I did see a press briefing by the House Intel Cmte--Jane Harman--defending Murtha and explaining in detail how they did NOT get the same intel that the WH did. All hands are on deck for this--a really unified Dem message and I think it is definitely getting some traction!

edit: Wow this is as mad as I've ever seen Kerry!

37. I think so too.
These latest attacks on him and on Murtha may have succeeded in pushing Kerry into "You Won't Like Me When I'm Angry" territory. And I say, good. No one can say Kerry's a hothead (or if they did that would mean they'd have to take back all those comments about him being wooden. ;-))

31. Here's Kerry's second appearance
http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3CAHQW1KPNE6A3SBO5AI43JUCM

I missed recording the first sentence, but it was basically him politely thanking Senator Kyl. JK starts out somewhat conciliatory but ends by putting Kyl on the spot, demanding an answer as to what Kyl believes about the intelligence. Kyl responds by doing an evasive dance.

the one senator that is up for re-election in '06 that Kerry is helping his opponent.

So Kyl - go ahead and piss Kerry off, then I know for sure he'll be here to campaign for you to lose.

Even if you let him off the hook on intelligence, he threw the inspectors out after they got missiles destroyed. Clearly not what Bush promised.

Sessions! Grown up make decisions based on the best info we had. You TWIT - that is the point, the evidence was cooked.

What an evil little turned elf he is. Now he's playing the patriotism card again.

Senator Kerry looks great in blue! LOVE that tie. That is the one he wore in the 2004 Earth Day photo (the one with the tree) and it was mentioned in a thread last night. It was really cool to see him wear that tie today!

edit: At least it looks like the same tie, although he probably has a hundred blue ties.

39. Yeah! I got to watch his speech!
What can I say -- he was great. It was funny but he was talking about McCain and Cleland, and I was waiting for him to talk about himself and he didn't. I guess he figured just by using the word "swift boat", it was understood that he identified with Murtha. You know, it just hurts seeing how much he'll defend other veterans, yet with the exception of Cleland last year, I just feel like they weren't there for him. But he doesn't dwell on that sort of thing. He's just keepin' on keepin' on. Fighting for us and the truth.

How long will this withdrawal from seeing our fav Dems be? (Remember what happened last year during the Congressional recess in here. Oh yeah, it was freaking great!)

He seems to be one of those 'gentle giants' that grace this world. I had two uncles who were 6'8" and they were the most gentle men I have ever known. Real sweethearts.

Oh, throw that back in my face will ya! Okay, I get another chance in December at the Birthday Party. I want a hug. A

nd I may get more chances that that. I believe that Harry Reid sent out instructions to all Senators to hold info sessions in their home states and spread the word on the Dem agenda and what Dems are trying to accomplish. I think it would be good for Sens. Kerry and Kennedy to take this show on the road and visit the nether regions of Massachusetts that lie beyond the fabled Route 128 and talk to the people. If they have Town Halls for their constituents in Worcester, I am there. I want to hear that up close and personal.
