John Kerry Meetups Starting in Lowell, MA

I just got an e-mail that a new JK meetup is starting up in Lowell! There is only one member, the organizer, and there is a charge to join. Anyone here know anything about this?

Sounds like fun. (And, again all politics is local. Well, money where your mouth is TayTay.)

3. It is. But Sen. Kerry has also pledged to build grassroots in MA

I can easily see this as going flat out to get a Dem elected Gov in MA next year and to show support for Sen. Kennedy. (Our two Senators have gotten chummy in recent years. It's really very nice. I do not expect them to be identical twins on all issues, but it is very nice to see they get along so well.)

It may be, pending an actual visit to the meetup of course (LOL!) that a lot of this is organizing. Lowell Mass is very close to the New Hampshire border and it would behoove all to 'get our act together' both for next year and whatever comes after.

Like this comment. Anytime someone puts Mass Dems and planning in the same sentence is good with me.

(87% of the elected offices in Massachusetts are filled with Dems. Our entire congressional delegation is Dems. Can you imagine what we could do if we were organized?)

5. I'm not sure about this particular meetup...

because there is one person and she is asking $10. to join. Makes me wonder if it is on the level. A meetup is a good idea. Merrimack Valley Kerry meetup or something that would include So. NH & MA. I have a friend in Lowell who is a Kerry supporter. I keep wondering if she is lurking here. I have to send her the link to this group because she would fit in perfectly.
