1. I'm beginning to think this isn't Fitzmas
It's Fitnukka.

This is going to last for more than 1 day.

2. Yes it is.
But it's going to go on for waaaaay longer than 8 days. Trail could start in March, unless someone pleads. The White House is screwed. There is no way the build-up to the war and the lies involved in it don't get a public airing. They are so toasted.

Yeah!

4. page 4 of the indictment

4. On or about May 29, 2003, in the White House, LIBBY asked an Under Secretary of State (“Under Secretary”) for information concerning the unnamed ambassador’s travel to Niger to investigate claims about Iraqi efforts to acquire uranium yellowcake. The Under Secretary thereafter directed the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research to prepare a report concerning the ambassador and his trip. The Under Secretary provided LIBBY with interim oral reports in late May and early June 2003, and advised LIBBY that Wilson was the former ambassador who took the trip.

Hmmmmm.......wonder who that unnamed "Under Secretary of State" might be???

6. Steve Clemons
is on the case: http://www.thewashingtonnote.com/archives/001045.html

Which Under Secretary of State Trafficked in Valerie Plame Wilson Info?

Here is the current roster of senior State Department officials.

Robert Joseph now holds the portfolio previously held by John Bolton.

My hunch -- given the other options at the Under Secretary level -- is that John Bolton was one of Libby's four sources on Valerie Plame Wilson. It would be nice to have confirmation.

Frederick Fleitz, Bolton's Chief of Staff was concurrently a senior CIA WINPAC official, and may have been Bolton's source. I'm not sure, but he may also have been the "senior CIA officer" referred to as one of the four Plame sources for Libby.

Athenae says:

    1. No, it doesn't hurt them to hold them like that.

    2. Yes, the antlers do come off.

    3. Yes, we are expecting that when the revolution comes this image will be used to justify the ferrets' violent overthrow of the human regime.

    4. But it's Fitzmas, and we wanted them to share in the celebration.

9. I had to work on Fitzmas Day. Bummer.
I couldn't get a Republican to come in for me. At least I got to keep up with today's action via the internets and NPR. I was hoping for a bigger pony, but Libby will do okay for now.
