Bolton update

If you haven't visited The Washington Note in a few days, go take a look. There's nothing substantively new, but lots going on.

There's gossip abroad that Bolton is now willing to accept a recess appointment, but it's not clear they want to give him one. THere are hints that the current recess appointment rumors were floated by a nervous Bolton himself. Between the Rove/Plame war and the Supreme Court vacancy he may be afraid that his chances will be swamped and forgotten. There are also some saying that the administration would like to see his nomination slide quietly under water.
