Statement by John Kerry on the Nonination of Alberto Gonzales
Even though John is in Iraq he is still keeping up with the Gonzales hearings. Here is a statement John made today.

1. this is so great--
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 10:07 PM by ginnyinWI
He's not going away, and he's gonna keep stepping up to the plate. I think it's going to be an interesting 109th Congress.

Seems Kerry and a lot of good Dems have gotten a clear message--we, the grassroots are watching and expecting them to deliver results. Those who aren't getting that message clearly aren't going to be around very much longer.

Isn't it great?

:toast:

edited to add: Of course, John Kerry has delivered results his whole life! LOL. Time for others to get on board now.

4. and I thought Ashcroft was bad
and the first person who rose to his defense in the article I read was the same guy who compared gay marriage to a man marrying a box turtle, John Cornyn can get a fuckin life.

5. I knew the Bush admin would pick another asshole
I'm just even more pissed off that he picked an asshole who happened to be Hispanic so that anyone who votes against him can be labelled a racist. I also resent the fact that we can't have a positive Hispanic rolemodel in such a high position. God I hate the Bushies!

7. the only people they can get are second rate:
true, self-respecting people won't work in an administration like this! It's usually true that people in a second term of a president's administration are worse quality than the first--and since this president's first bunch were SO bad--we are really in trouble now! (but so is smirkyboy, so it's worth something).

9. maybe there is something we can still go about Gonzales
On Liberal Oasis today they wrote that Biden and Schumer have mixed feelings about confirming him, as per their statements on Meet the Press. LO urges us to call and write them to push them away from doing it. www.liberaloasis.com.
